Mark Terry is going to a remote tropical island with NO e-mail or internet connection for the next 7 days....
What?
What do you mean that's just the top line item on my Christmas list? I thought...
Shit.
Never mind.
What's on the top of your Christmas list?
Cheers,
Mark Terry

Gosh, my top item I would never be able to have. A week's vacation. Alone.
However, I AM going to D.C. next Monday for the day to do museums ALONE and then have dinner with an old friend. So maybe Santa heard me. A little.

A day in DC hitting museums sounds pretty great, actually. Leanne & I were just talking about that, noting all the museums we haven't been to there, among other things.
Huh. You know what? I'm really happy. I love things just as they are. I guess a bigger book contract would be nice, but I'm not sure that's feasible in the next 22 days, LOL, as I probably won't get to even the querying stage. Although, hey. If you can wish for a tropical island, I can wish for a miracle, right?
:-)
This is my first visit to this blog and I'm already hooked. Anyone with such completely unattainable fantasies must be a writer!
And Erica, you had me at "alone."

Natasha,
I wouldn't want this to get around, but I was wondering what I wanted for Christmas (and my birthday, which is 2 weeks later) and the only thing on my list basically is a good Taylor guitar (probably a Taylor 214CE), which I'm saving up for. Well, yeah, I'd like the Apple iTablet (or Slate) if they ever actually put this mythical product for sale, but otherwise I'm a little blank on this. So I might as well go for the tropical island.
Michele,
Welcome. Well, I hope they're not COMPLETELY unattainable.
